Heart of Lauralie
Gentle and Driven
Lauralie is a country Americana artist brought up in the plains of Kansas and now living in Boston. Never shy and always creative, Lauralie bends the expectations of the country genre. She takes inspiration from artists whose music is dipped in authenticity, such as Brandi Carlile, Fleetwood Mac, Taylor Swift, and Chris Stapleton. Lauralie’s honest storytelling reflects her gentle spirit through the highs and lows of life.
From singing in princess dresses on the coffee table to singing at coffee shops, Lauralie’s music grew with her. She started writing songs at age six and broke into the Kansas City music scene at age fifteen. She became a regular performer at many music venues, standing out with just her voice and her guitar. Two of her original songs were featured on Kansas City radio stations while she was still in high school. Lauralie got accepted into Berklee College of Music where she attended for two years. She now fronts her own band, sings and writes for alt rock band Late for Breakfast, and plays rhythm guitar for pop rock artist Madelyn Grace.
Lauralie released her very first single in April 2023. “I’ll Be With You,” a story of long distance love, introduced Lauralie into the country/Americana scene with enthusiasm. The country rock anthem received overwhelmingly positive reviews, landing many playlists and radio play. Lauralie is continuing to write, record, and perform in Boston with fellow young musicians and is currently working on a new single and EP. While she plans on one day moving away, she hopes to touch Boston’s heart with the gentleness of country Americana while she is still there.
“My definition of country music is really pretty simple. It’s when someone sings about their life and what they know, from an authentic place” -Taylor Swift
